Brief Summary
Facilities Available in the Hostel:
Accommodation:
- At the time of admission of a student in respective Hall of Residence, each resident is required to submit personal data duly filled in a prescribed form, containing current address, mobile / telephone number and e-mail id of parents/guardian.
- Students of married research scholars / PG / BTech / JRF / SRF etc., and first year MTech girl students will be provided with accommodation. For married students a single room occupancy and double occupancy for first year students of MTech will be allotted. Each room will be provided with “2 Beds” (without mattress and pillow), one “Table”, one “Chair” and one “Wall cupboard” along with one “Ceiling fan” and one “Tube light”.
- Each room contains attached bathroom and students are facilitated with “Geyser” at the common place.
- NOTE: The parents will be allowed to visit the rooms allotted to their wards in the hostel. However, they are advised to leave their wards room within an hour to avoid overcrowding.
Mess Facility:

- Dining facility is provided at the adjoining SHR.
- Four meals in a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner) will be provided to the students.
- Night canteen facility is provided in the hostel after the dining hours.
- All students of the hostel have to compulsorily join the mess.
- NOTE: Students can avail the mess facility at the hostel from the date of reporting. However, the parents accompanying their wards need to avail the food facility outside the hostel.
- Drinking water Facility: The students are provided with the facility of Drinking water. Each floor of the hostel is provided with one number of “Water purifier with cooler” having RO/UV facility. The machines are also provided with yearly AMC.
- Washing Machine Facility: Students are provided with “Washing machine” facility. These machines are placed in the common room. Students can avail such facility any time of the day.
- Student’s council: The hall has a student’s council to take care of the proper functioning hostel. It consists of General Secretary, Mess Secretary (along with Mess council consisting for 3-4 members), Maintenance Secretary, Sports Secretary, Health and Hygiene Secretary etc.
- Security Facility: Two nos. of security guards are deployed in the hostel on a shift basis in a day.
- Sports items Facility: The hostel is housed with various type of indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as chess, caroms, table tennis, volleyball etc. Students are allowed to issue the sports items from the hall office and return in the same day.
- Hall office Facility: A hall office in the hostel for taking care of students shall be open through the day i.e. 24 x 7. Staffs are present in office to address the complaints and caters all other needs from time to time.
- Lift Facility: Sangam Hall of Residence is provided with 2 nos. of LIFTs for mobility of students from one to another floor.
- Entertainment Facility: LED TV is provided in the Mess room, with connection of TATA SKY.
- Housekeeping Facility: Daily basis cleaning of all floors, lift, staircase, wash room, washing machine room and hostel compound in day time. Students room cleaning facility weekly once in night time.
- Common Facilities inside the Campus: Canara Bank, SBI with ATM, Shopping Complex, Pharmacy (24 x 7), Nescafe, night canteen, hospital, etc.
Temporary Creation of Facilities for Freshers available for Purchase:
- Mattresses, Bed sheets, Pillow & Pillow Covers at RHR & SHR
- Stall for Cycle, General Store Items (Bucket, Mug, etc.), Stationary Items (Notebook, Calculator etc) and Mobile Sim Card.
- Stall for Food.
